ShopRite Can Can Sale and "Cans for Fans" Facebook Program

I'm a firm believer that we are all put on this Earth to work together and help each other out. That's why I've elected to spread the word about ShopRite's Can Can Sale and their "Cans for Fans" Facebook Program.

Can Can Sale

Let me first explain ShopRite's Can Can Savings Sale.

2011 marked the 40th year for ShopRite's annual Can Can Sale, which will take place again in 2012 from Jan 5-21st. In the past, the sale was to offer discounts on their store brand products, ShopRite and a plethora of their vendors have now teamed up to offer their shoppers deals on an assortment of different foods. To commemorate this celebration of sorts, ShopRite donated 40,000 cans of food to local food banks in 2011.

Facebook "Cans For Fans"

This year, they are kicking off a new program on Facebook. To inspire "Likes" on their Facebook page, they have offered to donate 1 can of food for every new Facebook fan (up to 50,000 cans). So, you can be a part of the giving, too, just by clicking the "Like" button!

Go to the ShopRite Facebook page and click the button now! (Thank you! Your click just sent a can of food to someone who needs it!)

Fun Stuff

ShopRite's going all out on the creativeness in their marketing scheme for this, too! If you head over to the Can Can Dance site, you can upload a picture of yourself, your child or a friend and watch yourself (or whoever the photo is of) dancing in a Moulin Rouge type of gig. (Yes, I had to try it!)

They also have some adorable commercials to catch the attention of consumers (oh, yes, my children were all over my computer while I was playing this one from their 2004 campaign):

You can go to ShopRite's YouTube Channel to see more of their videos.

Don't forget to check out the Can't Can't Wait Sale Preview on January 1st! ShopRite stores are located in CT, DE, MD, NJ, NY and PA.
