Goofing Up is going to be similar to Breaking the Rules in a few ways, so if you liked Breaking the Rules, you will love Goofing Up. Even if you didn't like Breaking the Rules because our opinions on those issues were too different, I understand. Thanks for reading it anyway!
In Goofing Up, I take it down a few notches. Instead of controversy and "parenting rules," like Breaking the Rules, Goofing Up is rather a list of fairly common "parenting mistakes" in today's world of raising kids that I have goofed up.
Sometimes, I screwed up royally and other common parenting mistakes I have slightly flubbed. Pretty much, if you're a parent, you've probably made some of the same mistakes.
Unless you're a perfect parent, which is far from what I am. I am not perfect and neither are my kids...
And that's the moral of the story. We are all just out here, doing the best we can with our little guinea pigs. Sometimes, we do good, sometimes we goof up.
There is no one book that will guide you through parenting. Goofing Up is not as much a guide for parenting, but rather a "What Not To Do" that we are probably going to do anyway, because we are parents and we all tend to make the same mistakes, whether we realize it or not.
