Holiday Recipe: Tasty Rolo Turtle Treats

The big day is approaching, and chances are, you’re a little stressed. While you’re checking off that Christmas gift list, your brain is also swimming with other to-dos: cleaning, decorating, and baking (just to name a few) before the relatives get into town. Well, consider this my no-fuss, completely delicious gift to you: a treat recipe so easy, it only has three ingredients! Who knew a hearty pecan, caramel-chocolate Rolo, and salty pretzel could taste so wonderful together? Happy devouring!

Ingredients:
1 package of regular waffle square pretzels
1 package (13 oz.) Rolo candies
1 package pecan halves

Directions:

·         Cover cookie sheet with aluminum foil and preheat oven to 350 degrees.

·         Lay pretzels out on top of aluminum foil so that all pretzels lay flat and do not overlap.

·         Unwrap the Rolo candies from their packaging and place one piece of candy on top of each pretzel.

·         Pop the baking sheet into the oven until candies are softened (You don’t want the candies to melt completely. They should be softened within 3-4 minutes).

·         Remove baking sheet immediately from oven and quickly place a pecan half on top of each candy, squishing the pecan into the softened Rolo.

·         Let the candies cool completely, then place them in refrigerator for about 15 minutes to “set” the turtles.

Enjoy! And don’t say I didn’t warn you: these little guys are seriously addicting!
