Happiness Is...

In my world, happiness comes with a price. :) Don't tell me it's free in your world! (Honestly, sometimes all it takes is a little effort.)

In my world, Happiness Is:

  • Finding batteries for the Wii remotes, computer game pads, remote control trucks and cars, lights and sounds toys,  and everything else that runs on Energizer.
  • Sending the kids off to school Monday mornings after a long weekend (or vacation).
  • Managing to keep the house clean for 5 minutes.
  • Finding matching socks.
  • Making it to bed before 2AM.
  • Not sitting on a wet toilet seat (check out the Potty Training Dilemma post)
  • Asking for the chores to be done without getting smack talk back. (See The Talking Back Syndrome/Getting the Chores Done.
  • An hour without disagreements/arguments/battles.
  • A day without diaper changes.
  • A baby's/child's laughter.
  • That long-awaited vacation that includes child care.
  • Springtime and Summertime!
  • Baking and decorating cakes and cookies.
  • That feeling of accomplishment.
  • An email or phone call from a friend (or relative) "Just because".
  • Receiving a compliment on my child's manners/behavior/intellect. -Are you sure you're talking about MY kids? ;)
  • Hugs.
  • Receiving a message that something I did made someone's day.
See, I'm not that hard to please! :)

  1. It all boils down to the very simple things in life, doesn't it? :)
